Latest news on the CD by the band Harpy.  John the lead singer of the band told me that the bands debut CD on Dreamscape Records has been put on hold indefinitely due to the groups individual busy schedules.

Picking the right songs, artwork and mixing the CD properly takes up a lot of time and due to scheduling conflicts and lack of time to assemble and mix the project the band has decided to shelve the project for now.

The good news is that the groups lead singer will be releasing a solo project in the very near future. Stay tuned for up dates on the progress of the project and the CD's release date.

Dreamscape would like to formally welcome Jazz recording artist Ellen Martinez to the family.  I have known Ellen for at least 7 years and we are very proud to now include this very fine Jazz as one of our artists.

Ms. Martinez has recorded a total of three CD's  "A Taste Of New York" an excellent Jazz CD, "Ellen Martinez", a Country CD and her latest CD "Mixed Emotions" which can be purchased on this website on the artists profile page.

We invite you to visit Ellen's profile page and listen to some of her music.  We are sure that after listening to a couple of songs that you will become a fan.

We are hoping in the future of being able to re-release her first two CD's so keep watching this section for an announcement about the release the artists earlier CD's.

It is hard to believe that another year has come and gone and here we are at the beginning of 2009 with a new President  about to be sworn in, the world in the worst economic condition it has been in a very long time and the record industry like most other industries also in real trouble.

Last year Dreamscape released a number of new CDs by new artists and this year in addition to selling CDs,
T-Shirts and other items on line, we are starting to sell MP3's of some of our artists as well.  So far we have 5 MP3's available from "Making The Ocean Awake" by the Russian progressive rock group Extrovert and 5 MP3's from "Monster On My Wall" by the East Coast Group Mikell's Plot.

Here it is the 2nd of November already and another year has almost concluded. To quote the Old Philosopher "Boy Time Flies When You Are Having Fun"

So many people have written to the label asking when the HARPY  CD is going to be released?  All I can say is that the band is hard at work on the CD and as always, making sure that everything is close to perfect as they can get it.  Hopefully the CD will be released before the end of the year.  Keep on checking out this page, for the exact date of release.

Today I spoke to Jo Hook an artist from the UK that was signed to the label in 1998 and left after a few years to pursue her own muse.  The good news is that after our conversation it looks like she will be rejoining the Dreamscape family of artists.  You can check out some of her videos on the video page and hear some of her music on her MySpace page.  Welcome Back Jo  :)
